This year Jeep is celebrating their 80th anniversary. Given the milestone achievement, a simple birthday celebration and announcement won’t do, even with this pandemic. In order to properly mark the occasion, Jeep has introduced a special edition variant across its entire model lineup – the aptly named 80th Anniversary Edition.
Yes, the entire model lineup is available with as an 80th Anniversary Edition – from the Renegade all the way to the new Gladiator pickup. Depending on the model you choose, features do vary per vehicle. However, they are all very well equipped.
Some of the styling details they all have in common are the Granite Crystal paint job and matching wheels which come in 18-, 19-, and 20-inch sizes. No doubt anniversary badging and design cues can be found inside and outside as well. All models come with an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well.
“After nearly 80 years, the Jeep brand remains true to the original SUV by continuing to deliver legendary 4x4 capability that has enabled countless adventures and open-air freedom. As we celebrate our 80th anniversary, we’re pleased to provide our customers with 80th Anniversary models that offer a unique appearance, great value and loads of safety and technology features,” said Jim Morrison, Head of Jeep Brand – FCA North America.
But probably the best news about Jeep's 80th anniversary is the extended Wave Customer Care program. All 2021 models now include three years of free maintenance, including oil change and tire rotation, and 24/7 customer support. Other features of the program include Trip interruption, first-day rental coverage, and VIP access to select, exclusive Jeep brand events.
There is no word yet whether the 80th Anniversary Edition Jeeps will be exclusive to the North American market. Hopefully, we do get to see them on display at the Jeep Philippines showroom in the future. Or at the very least, the Wave Customer Care program is offered locally.
