Join Toyota's Digital Art Competition for a chance to win P200,000
Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMPC), in celebration of its 20th anniversary in the country, will hold ArtEdge, a digital art competition. The contest encourages all interested participants to take their imagination to a journey that challenges the power of technology and execute Toyota's 20th anniversary theme: Driving Tomorrow-20 years of Toyota in the Philippines.
Toyota is a company whose eyes are always on the road ahead. For the past 20 years, Toyota has been a driving force of innovation and evolution. Toyota has gone above and beyond selling cars as it constantly strives to make a difference in people's lives, in the society, and the environment. Toyota continues to drive tomorrow, moving Filipinos forward to a better and brighter future.
Toyota wishes to celebrate this momentous milestone in the automotive history by engaging its valued customers to share their unique Toyota experience and be an inspiration to other Toyota owners through a digital art competition. By tapping on the talents of Filipino artists, ArtEdge will showcase how Toyota has been a part of people's lives for the past 20 years.
The contest period is from May 1 to June 15, 2008 and is open to all interested professional or amateur Filipino artists, 18 years old and above. Entries must be the original work and must never have been published in any format, and must be submitted with the fully accomplished entry form available at all Toyota Dealers nationwide.
All entries will be judged according to the following criteria: 15% for originality, 30% for visual impact and appeal, 40% for relevance to the theme, and 15% for technical and content composition. The entries will be judged by a panel composed of digital artists, art practitioners, photographers, the academe, the sponsor, Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation and its advertising agency, Dentsu Philippines, Inc.
Almost a million worth of cash prizes await the deserving winners starting with P25,000 for 20 consolation prize winners, P100,000 for the 3rd placer, P150,000 for the 2nd placer, P200,000 for the first prize. Winners will be announced in August 2008.
Toyota invites all interested artists to be moved to a direction where they can make a difference in the art scene. Participants are encouraged to show-off their graphic edge in today's most exciting art competition.
