With nearly two weeks to go before this year's New York Auto Show, Kia recently released their design sketches of the 2016 Optima mid-size sedan.
Judging from the images shown, the 2016 model still carries the nameplate's distinct headlights along with Kia's tiger nose grill. The side on the other hand shows the sedan's sleek silhouette, sloped roofline and large alloy wheels. Over to the rear it gets thin taillights, a wide bumper and dual exhaust pipes.
The all-new Optima will have its global reveal on April 1, 2015 at the opening of the New York Auto Show.
It is important to note however that the upcoming 2016 Optima bears some resemblance to the company's Sportspace concept that was revealed earlier at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The concept may be a preview to a new wagon body style that will become available on the all-new Optima.
