Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) recently introduced the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid features a sculpted exterior with athletic proportions. A fast silhouette and sophisticated, fluid-like surfacing deliver a level of style not found in the minivan segment. Meanwhile, the Pacifica’s sliding door track lines are hidden under the rear-quarter side glass.
At the front, it is equipped with a unique front grille pattern and wheel design, as well as distinctive badging and an exclusive Silver Teal Pearl Coat paint, making it distinct from others in the Pacifica lineup.
In addition to Silver Teal, the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is also available in 10 body colors such as Billet Silver Metallic Clear Coat, Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat, Bright White Clear Coat, Molten Silver Metallic Clear Coat, Velvet Red Pearl Coat, Jazz Blue Pearl Coat, Dark Cordovan Pearl Coat, Tusk White Pearl Coat and Granite Crystal Metallic Clear Coat.
Inside, the Pacifica Hybrid has horizontally drawn features that provides expansive space. The tri-pane panoramic sunroof, with a dual-pane panoramic sunroof over the first two rows and a fixed glass pane over the third row, adds to the feeling of spaciousness. Inspired by Juneau Alaska, it also features an exclusive interior environment blending Black and Alloy with Anodized Ice Cave accents, Ice Blue stitching and black piping.
“By storing the battery pack under the second-row floor, customers aren’t losing any passenger or cargo volume, so there’s no trade-off or compromise when choosing the Pacifica Hybrid. Most importantly, the driving experience for customers remains unchanged – the vehicle operates in electric mode whenever possible and seamlessly transitions to hybrid mode when needed,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands, Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and Fiat, FCA - North America.
The all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid provides an estimated range of 48 km solely on zero-emissions electric power from a 16-kWh lithium-ion battery. Meanwhile, when the battery's energy is depleted to a certain threshold, the Pacifica Hybrid becomes a part-time electric vehicle, similar to a conventional hybrid.
Power to the wheels is supplied by the electric drive system or supplemented by a specially adapted new version of the 3.6-liter V6 engine. The battery pack can also be fully recharged in just two hours using a 240-volt plug-in system.
Other amenities include the all-new Uconnect Theater entertainment system, 7-inch full-color driver information display, 8.4-inch touchscreen, Uconnect Access, four cameras positioned around the vehicle, park sense assist, six speakers, Active Noise Cancellation, and integrated voice command.
