Automobili Lamborghini will indeed release a topless version of the Aventador Superveloce as the company recently confirmed it during the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of the Italian automaker, stated dealerships are now accepting orders of the upcoming roadster.
“The Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce is the most pure, sports-oriented and emotional incarnation of a Lamborghini, and all 600 units have been sold, with first deliveries starting now. We will also produce a roadster version, which our dealerships are now taking orders for, said Winkelmann.
The coupe version of the LP750-4 first debuted during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Build by the company to pack more power, reduced weight and improved aerodynamics, Lamborghini claims that it is their 'most pure incarnation of a Lamborghini to date'.
Compared to the standard Aventador, its 6.5-liter V12 now produces 760 PS (710 PS stock) while torque rating remains the same at 689 Nm. Curb weight has been reduced by 50kg thanks to a lightweight exhaust system and a combination of aluminum and carbon fiber frames, door panels, rockers and fenders.
