Leaked photos of what appears to be the next-generation Kia Sportage were recently leaked on the web, showing the compact crossover’s sleeker and more sophisticated look.
Up front, the new Sportage has a new face that consists of a replaced ‘tiger-nose’ grill, swept-up projector headlights, cube-shaped foglights, new bumper and a sculpted hood. The side retains the crossover’s distinct silhouette but has new alloy wheels.
The rear on the other hand gets a new tailgate, restyled taillights, roof-mounted spoiler and a chrome decor strip.
No interior photos were provided but according to TheKoreanCarBlog, it will be the company’s most refined cabin to date as it combines modern styling and rich materials. In addition, it will reportedly also get an 8-inch infotainment system and dashboard design that resembles the latest Sorento and Carnival.
Powertrain specifics have not yet been detailed but like previous generations, it will share the platform of the new Tucson so gas and diesel-powered engine will likely be available for the compact crossover.
It will officially make its global debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show on September 17.
