Ford Mustang redesign for 2018 model year leaked
Ford will apparently be releasing a refreshed Mustang soon after Mustang6G, an enthusiast forum website uploaded what appaered to be running footage of the aforementioned pony car in GT form.
Immediately seen up front are a new set of headlights that appear larger than usual. The daytime running lights, on the other hand, are now slimmer while the grill has been made wider. There is also a new front bumper looks more aggressive with its fang-like faux side air intakes and bigger lower air intake.
Moving on, the hood loses the power bulge but retains the character lines that run towards the front section of the pony car.
Towards the rear, one may notice that the taillights also received a slight redesign. They now curve towards the trunk which makes for a more refined look. Topping it all off are the new rear diffuser and the new trunklid-mounted spoiler.
No interior shots of the 2018 Mustang were shown however.
Powertrain options for the 2018 Mustang have yet to be detailed but there are reports that the 3.7-liter Cyclone V6 will be dropped altogether. The 2.3-liter EcoBoost and 5.0-liter V8 are expected to be carried over.
There is no word yet as to when will Ford officially reveal the 2018 Mustang.
