The car has yet to be revealed officially, but it looks like Suzuki has indeed built the new-generation Swift Dzire. Essentially the four-door alternative to the five-door Swift, the all-new sedan bears the new design theme from the 2017 Swift that was revealed late last year.
If the images are to be believed, the 2017 Swift Dzire has a more rounded shape compared to the angular hatchback. From the A-pillar all the way to trunk, it features a smoother design that is vastly different from the sloped roofline of the hatchback. Also, the rear doors and rear quarter panels have a more conservative design.
The front fascia is slightly different as well with the black slatted grill with chrome trim and revised front bumper. Towards the back, the 2017 Swift Dzire now has a cleaner design compared to the current model. It gets new wraparound taillights, thicker chrome trim and a more upright trunklid.
It is highly likely that the current engine lineup in the current Swift Dzire will carry over to the next-gen four-door. These may include the 1.2-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and the 1.3-liter DDis four-cylinder diesel. A 5-speed manual and an optional 4-speed automatic (gasoline only) are expected to be available in the 2017 Swift Dzire.
