Be prepared to see more new BMWs wearing bigger front grills in the not so distant future.
Remember when the Bavarian automaker unveiled the all-new X7 flagship SUV last October 2018? Well it looks like the facelift 7 Series will also get a similar-looking design when it's officially unveiled to the public.
An Instagram user by the name of 'Stan Rudman' was able to take a picture of what appears to be the 2020 BMW 7 Series wearing its revamped face. If the image is to be believed, the flagship sedan now comes with a large dual kidney front grill reminescent of the X7's. Not only that, it looks like the sedan also gets slimmer LED headlights with new LED daytime running lights, a new front bumper, and a more sculpted hood.
While we got a good look at what the facelift 7 Series looks like from the front, we have yet to see what it looks like from the back. Luckily, our spies managed to get several pictures of the 7 Series albeit wearing some camouflage. Last seen in March 2018, the 7 Series may get slimmer LED taillights, a simpler-looking trunk and updated rear exhaust finishers.
As far as powertrain options are concerned, it's highly likely that the 7 Series will get a choice of either a 3.0-liter turbo-gasoline inline-six, and a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel straight six. However, we won't be surprised if the engines receive more horsepower and torque in the new update.
The 2020 BMW 7 Series refresh could make its official debut some time this year.
