The 2019 Tokyo Motor Show is nearly upon us, which means the debut of several important models from Japanese automakers. But what is perhaps the most awaited of them all is the reveal of the next-generation Honda Jazz.

Already spotted several months ago covered in a camo livery by a Twitter user, Honda eventually released a teaser image of the all-new hatchback showing its new side profile. We even got a glimpse of what appear to be its new 'bug-eye' headlights which are reminiscent of the first-generation's design.

But with just a day before its big reveal, it looks like an eager fan was able to get their hands on a catalog for the biennial auto show, leaking what could be the all-new Honda Jazz wearing no disguise whatsoever.

If the image is to be believed, the hatchback in question appears to have ditched its sporty front fascia for a more conservative look. A new set of headlights make their way on the five-door hatch along with what appear to be new-style daytime running lights. The Solid Wing Face grill appears to have been replaced as well in favor of a body-colored single-piece design. Finally, the front bumper adopts a more uniform look that matches with the hatchback's new appearance.

Besides having a new face, the yet-to-be-confirmed 2020 Jazz also has what looks to be an updated roofline. While not clearly seen, the supposedly new Jazz has a more rounder design which fits with the new-generation's overall look. We have yet to see what it looks from the back, but we're guessing it also received a major makeover.

No word yet as to what engines will power the new Honda Jazz. What we do know, however, is that it might be available as a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). Based on the license plate holder, this particular model is the 'E:HEV'. Without much details to go on, this could mean the Jazz might be a traditional hybrid or a plug-in hybrid.

With the original posting on the Japanese website taken down, we cannot completely confirm is this is the real thing. But given how the shape and design closely resembles the tease Honda released earlier, this may well be it.

It will make its official debut at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show tomorrow.
