Toyota introduced the current generation Toyota Alphard and Vellfire back in 2015. It wouldn’t be a surprise then if the Japanese automaker decided to give both models a facelift as they will be turning 3-years old come 2018. It seems as though that facelift may come soon, as official brochure photos have been leaked online.
As reported by Paultan.org, the first official photos of the upcoming Vellfire facelift has surfaced in what appears to be official brochures from Toyota. Two different variants of the Vellfire will be receive updated styling, but its signature features remain such as the split headlights and massive front grill.
The upcoming facelift Vellfire now has revised lower portion of the bumper, is now fitted with a large chrome bar. Though the massive grill has been retained, the arrangement of the chrome slats has been revised, allowing for a higher placement of the logo. Completing the makeover are the now triangular fog light housings. Overall, it now creates a larger and bolder looking front fascia.
Another variant of the Vellfire that can be seen in the brochure leaked is the ZG. It comes with larger side air intakes and gives it a significantly more aggressive look compared to the standard. The large horizontal slats located in the intake vents are also finished in chrome to further enhance its aggressive design. At the rear of the ZG Vellfire, there are new taillights and a longer chrome garnish. Expect the standard variant to also receive the same treatment.
Given that the Vellfire will be getting a facelift, it is speculated that the Toyota Alphard (which we do get in our market) will do so as well. No details yet as to when we will see an official reveal from Toyota. If we are to believe that these brochures are true, then expect it to be soon.
