Foton goes beyond reliable transporation with tuition-free education program
Foton Motor Philippines Inc (FMPI) is committed to not just providing quality commercial vehicles to its customers, but also the skills that require to build such vehicles.
In partnership with the Pampanga Manpower Training Center (PMTC), interested individuals may enroll to acquire a new set of skills under a 6-month training program at Foton Academy. Here, enrollees will receive top-rated education without paying for tuition fees or miscellaneous expenses.
“We are driven to advance the skills of our fellowmen and aspire to be enablers of strong mobility, which is how we aim to empower Filipinos through Foton Academy,” said Rommel Sytin, president of FMPI.
To date, the first batch of vocational scholars have already graduated from the academy and have learned the necessary skills that are relevant to the automotive industry. Those that underwent the program cultivated competent proficiency and experience in the field that acquired them the Automotive Servicing National Certificate (NC) II.
With their accomplishment, the graduates are guaranteed employment at the FMPI Assembly Plant located at the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga.
For FMPI, the Foton Academy presents a long-term solution in combating the downward trend of the employment rate caused by the ongoing pandemic. More importantly, the free education program will also help the less fortunate to learn automotive-related skills without having to pay a single centavo.
