Ever wanted a piece of classic American Muscle to add to your Lego collection? Worry no more as Lego recently unveiled a new Ford Mustang set.

Called the Lego Creator Ford Mustang, it features the muscle car in its signature 'fastback' body style from the 1960s. Made up of 1,471 pieces of bricks, it comes with a full interior, working doors, a removable roof panel, and a highly-detailed 6.4-liter (390 cu inch) V8 under the hood complete with hoses, air filter and a battery.

Developed in collaboration with the Ford Motor Company, the scale model replica sticks to the iconic, slippery shape of the first-generation model. The exterior is painted in a dark blue hue and comes with 'go faster' racing stripes that run down the middle of the car. Further adding to the 60s-era look of the Lego Mustang are the large hood scoop, five-spoke wheels wrapped in real rubber tires, circular headlights, and the unmistakable tri-bar taillights with GT 'badging' on the trunk.

In addition, the Lego Mustang also comes with several add-ons and customization options like an array of license plates, a supercharger kit that can be placed on top of the engine, rear ducktail spoiler, larger exhaust pipes, and an adjustable lift for the rear axle which adds a meaner look to the Mustang.

Inside, the Lego Mustang is fitted with period-correct components like an old-school radio, a big steering wheel, heavily-bolstered seats, dual gauges, and a mid-console gear shifter. It even comes with a nitrous oxide tank placed in the trunk, great for those days when you need oomph on your Lego Mustang.
