Thai wheel giant Lenso Wheel celebrates 20th anniversary with grandiose display at the 2013 Thailand International Motor Expo held at the IMPACT Exhibition Center in Muangthong, Bangkok, Thailand. The wheel maker outlined its milestones with special wheels produced during its 20-year journey and presented its demo cars fitted with its latest wheel products.

The company officially started making wheels in 1992 as Car Image Co. Ltd., incorporating Japanese and Italian wheel making methods and technology. Through the years it has evolved by applying technological updates to its manufacturing process earning them international recognition.   It was officially renamed Lenso Wheel Co. Ltd. in 2004 to fully represent the brand. Its state-of-the-art production facility is located at the Wellgrow Industrial Estate in Chachoengsao Province. With its main focus on producing quality wheels, the facility produces around 600,000 wheels a year, half of which is exported, while the remaining is consumed by the Thai domestic market.

The company’s many milestones included products that highlighted its two-decade journey. Started by the Concept Five wheel, which became the company’s best-selling wheel of all-time. It was followed by the VPD in 2000, a lightweight drag-racing specific wheel which was used by US drag racing competitors. It attracted box-office recognition when producers of the film 'The Fast and the Furious' used its Se7en wheel for the Mitsubishi Eclipse used by the late Paul Walker as undercover cop Brian O’Conner.

Lenso milestones

The company also produced custom concept wheels for customers. These are the Spin Diamond (crystal-crusted spinner wheel) in 2003 and the 'Rulet’ displayed at Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, and the Melbourne Auto Salon where it won 'Best Wheel Award' in 2005. It also made a 26-inch concept wheel in 2005.
