Bridgestone Corporation has announced that the Potenza S001L and Turanza T005 with RFT has been chosen by the Japanese luxury automaker as the standard tires for the upcoming 2017 Lexus LC500 and LC500h.
The Potenza S001L and Turanza T005 were designed by Bridgestone exclusively for the LC series in order for drivers to experience its superior driving performance.
RFT tires eliminates the need to bring a spare tire because even with zero inflation. It can travel for up to 80 km and will allow cars to reach speeds of up to 80 km/h.
This reduces the overall weight of the vehicle while also helping the environment by eliminating the use of extra materials for a spare tire.
Sans the spare tire, driving dynamics is enhances and so is cargo space in the rear.
Both the Lexus LC500 and LC500h are slated for global release in May 2017.
