RX: Now spindled
Lexus Manila, Inc. launched the latest model in their line up, the RX Series, at an intimate event at their dealership in Fort Bonifacio.
The entire Lexus Manila family, led by LMI President Danny Isla, as well as the Toyota Motor Philippines group led by TMP President Michinobu Sugata, were out in full force to welcome the latest Lexus crossover SUV.
“The 2012 RX brings with it significant design improvements. Most notably, it now joins its stable mates, the GS, LX and CT in proudly flaunting the new 'Spindle' Grille design,” said Mr. Isla in his speech. “It shows a more aggressive and bold design that is slowly making its way as a unified brand look across the Lexus lineup.”
The new model represents a thorough redesign of the RX Series, as the front fascia is now headlined by the spindle grille, as well as new LED headlamps and a new, more aggressive bumper. The features have also been upgraded, along with a new, much more modern steering wheel compared to the old model. The trim accents inside have also been changed for a classier feel and look.
“We will continue to introduce vehicles that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but that which also offer the best value and emotional stronghold to the people who matter,” concluded Mr. Isla.
Lexus is introducing the RX with two variants, both powered by a 274 PS 3.5 liter V6 : the RX350 and the RX350 Premier. The standard RX350 is priced at PhP 3,578,000, while the RX350 Premier costs PhP 3,898,000. In his speech, LMI President reaffirmed Lexus commitment to have a complete hybrid lineup, as the RX450h will follow later on.
