Lexus is as zealous with performance as it is with design and it reaffirms that by returning as the official vehicle of the New York Fashion Week for the fourth straight time.
Part of its commitment includes providing a fleet of 50 Lexus units as courtesy transportation vehicles for designers, models, editors, retailers and fashion industry professionals. An extra 10 units will be for the exclusive use of designers Nicole Miller, Jeremy Scott, TOME and Zang Toi who will wrap each vehicle in custom prints to showcase their fashionwear for the Fall / Winter 2017 collections.
The highlight of Lexus' participation though is the public debut of the LIT IS that was unveiled late last year. Covered in 41,999 individually hand-placed programmable LED lights, the LIT IS interacts with viewers in three ways: Attract using loop colorful graphics, Music Viz making it respond to the beat of any song and Gesture that allows it to react to user's hand movements via Xbox Kinect.
It will be on display at the Vanderbilt Hall of the Grand Central Terminal on February 13 and 14.
