Lexus Manila Inc. officially unveils the updated LX570 flagship SUV
Aside from revealing the 2016 RX, Lexus Manila Inc. also revealed the updated LX570. Bearing a heavily revised exterior, along with new interior amenities and features, Lexus claimed that the LX will remain the leading SUV that combines true off-road capability and luxury.
Featuring an updated design, the front gets new LED headlights, a restyled bumper and a more aggressive fascia that now incorporates the brand's trademark spindle grill. The side profile now features better defined wheel arches and a pinched third-row window.
The rear also features more of the brand's L-Finesse style language with L-shaped taillights, a more aggressive bumper and a shark-fin antenna.
Inside, it gets an updated dashboard, center console and steering wheel design. The center stack features sleeker aircon vents, a center-mounted analog clock, a 12.3-inch infotainment/navigation touchscreen, a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, illuminated gauges and a 4.2-inch multi-information display.
Other additions to the revamped LX570 include a Drive Mode Selector, Lexus Safety System+, tire pressure monitoring system, panoramic view camera, Intuitive Park Assist, Smart Access Keycard system, ambient lighting and overhead console control via touch sensor function.
Under the hood, the LX570 is powered by the carried-over 5.7-liter V8 that produces 386 PS and 544 Nm of torque. The SUV comes with full-time four wheel drive and is now equipped with an eight speed automatic transmission, replacing the old six-speed unit.
