In the very distant future, the cars we have today will probably become a relic of the past. Instead, we will likely be riding in spaceships or vehicles straight out of Blade Runner, transforming from land vehicle to spacecraft with just the flick of a switch, and traveling to different planets and galaxies.
While we still have no clue on such vehicles might arrive, it seems Lexus has already beaten everyone to the punch. In fact, you can even see their new “jet” in action at the upcoming movie Men in Black: International.
Officially called the Lexus QZ 618 Galactic Enforcer, it uses the company’s Quasar Power Source Technology allowing it to travel anywhere in the universe in seconds. Thanks to the new powertrain, it goes from 0 to 97km/h in just 0.0000000000001 nanoseconds. Despite being capable hopping galaxies in seconds, the QZ 618 only does 122 MPG (Millennia Per Gallon) and comes with three different driving modes: EcoDrive, SportDrive, and QuantumDrive.
With the new Inter-Galactic Positioning System (IGPS), you certainly won’t get lost in space or make a wrong turn at Jupiter either. Should you happen to meet aliens along the way, Amazon Alexa is built into the QZ 618 and can understand trillions of alien languages. Gamma-ray headlights give you clear visibility planet away.
Inside, the cabin is lined with intergalactically sourced, ethically spawned Adorian leather. It also has transforming seats with a 31-point harness to accommodate different body types in the universe. Don’t worry about anything hitting your vehicle either as Lexus Safety System+ comes with a force field.
In order to help the QZ 618 blend in on earth today, it transforms into a 2020 Lexus RC F. But in “jet” form, the QZ 618 retains the brand’s signature spindle grill up front in the round passenger section with twin thrusters at the rear. It is even finished in Umbra Black, the darkest black in the entire universe according to Lexus.
The Lexus jet reflects the future of the Lexus brand – the far, far distant future. With the most advanced alien-fighting technology, performance and sophisticated styling, it’s in a class of its own,” said Lisa Materazzo, vice president of Lexus marketing.
Catch the QZ 618 Galactic Enforce make its big screen debut on June 14 when MIB: International opens, starring Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Emma Thompson, as well as Liam Neeson.
