About six months ago, Lexus surprised the motoring world with the reveal of the 2019 RC. Taking inspiration from the LC grand tourer, the all-new sports coupe gets a sharp redesign, improved driving performance, as well as better handling.

But where is the RC F you may ask? Well, it appears that Lexus has been busy for the past few months working on just that. Come next year's North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Lexus will officially reveal the 2020 RC F Track Edition.

But before all of you get excited over a more hardcore two-door coupe, Lexus has yet to state what makes the RC F Track Edition tick. In fact, Lexus only released a single teaser photo of the car showing its carbon fiber rear wing.

However, given that this particular RC F has been tailor-made for the track, it's highly likely to receive an aggressive bodykit for added downforce and better aeryodnamics. In addition, it could get bigger wheels, as well as stickier tires that will keep the RC F Track Edition planted to the pavement.

As for what's under the hood, the Track Edition could come with a highly-tuned V8 derived from the previous RC F, or LC grand tourer. For all we know, the eight-cylinder motor in the Track Edition could produce upwards of more than 500 PS and above.

Lexus will reveal the 2020 RC F Track Edition on January 14, 2019 in Detroit.
