May The Fourth Be With You is upon us once again. Star Wars, with help from Mercedes-Benz, recently launched a limited-run CLA in celebrating the 40th anniversary of the first film 'A New Hope'. Simply called the CLA180 Star Wars Edition, the four-door sedan receives a plethora of Star Wars-themed add-ons, as well as two limited edition colors.
Only available for the Japanese market, the CLA180 Star Wars Edition can be painted in either Calcite White or Night Black. The former is a direct nod to the Stormtroopers while the latter pays tribute to Darth Vader. Moreover, the white CLA will fitted with 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels while the black CLA will roll on 18-inch multi-spoke black alloys.
In addition, Mercedes-Benz will also fit the CLA with an AMG Line exterior package which gives the sedan a more aggressive bodykit. Further enhancing the car's exterior comes courtesy of the Night Package which adds gloss black trim on the grill, front splitter, side sills, side mirror caps and rear diffuser.
Inside, Artico faux leather and Dinamica microfiber blanket the interior of the special edition CLA. When specified with Calcite White, the seats and door trim get gray and white stripes, along with silver stitching. On the other hand, the Night Black comes with an all-black interior and red stitching. There will also be puddle lamps that show the Star Wars logo, Star Wars branded floor carpets and sunshade and a drive recorder that will play R2-D2 sounds.
Other in-car features present in the special edition CLA are powered front seats with memory function, 12-color ambient LED lighting, adaptive cruise control and automatic climate control.
Only 120 units of the CLA180 Star Wars Edition will be made and will be split to 60 examples for each color.
