A limited-run Bentley Continental GT3-R has been revealed by the luxury car maker. It takes design cues from the Continental GT3 race car that won the second round of the Blancpain Endurance Series in Silverstone.
The British automaker claims that the Continental GT3-R, limited to just 300 units, is the rarest and most dynamic member of the Continental family of Grand Tourers.
For the exterior of the GT3-R, Bentley’s design team is geared towards creating a "more purposeful stance ever."
The front splitter of the GT3-R provides an assertive look to the vehicle’s front fascia. The hood has two vents to improve cooling of the vehicle’s engine. The body of the GT3-R also has a gloss carbon fiber that compliments the vehicle’s “Glacier White” paint finish. The GT3-R has a two-tone green graphics that runs along the side profile of the vehicle.
Design cues taken from the GT3 race car can be seen at the vehicle’s headlamps, grill, window surrounds and bumper strips. The vehicle is also fitted with a fixed carbon fiber rear wing spoiler that is attached to the boot lid. Rounding up the GT3-R’s exterior are the gloss black 21-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the two-seat cabin are handcrafted from carbon fiber, Alcantara and leather materials. It has a pair of bespoke Alcantara sport seats, Alcantara/leather combination steering wheel and gear shifter. The center console and panels of the GT3-R are handcrafted in carbon fiber. The interior of the vehicle also has green accents on the seats, instrument panel and door panels.
The Continental GT3-R is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers 580 PS with 700 Nm of torque and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
