Internet car forums have been buzzing about the upcoming Genesis Coupe, as some photos were reportedly leaked via some brochures and catalogs.
Hyundai's official Korean blog has also released the first specification of the new GenCoupe, having bumped up the power to 350 horsepower (from 306) thanks to Gasoline Direct Injection. However, there is still a big question mark over our local supply of fuel, which is why Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. has been reluctant on officially bringing in the Veloster (which also has GDi) here.
Across the Pacific, however, Hyundai's American arm has been busy in revealing the all new Azera sedan at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The last generation of the Azera impressed us with its high levels of comfort and refinement, and this new gen model promises to be even better.
The new sedan has clearly gone "fluidic", as the Azera now gets the Fluidic Sculpture design treatment of the brand as we have seen in the Tucson, Accent, Sonata and Elantra. Inside, their design theme continues, as the new Azera clearly gets a more upscale interior and features befitting the upper class.
The engine still displaces 3.3 liters, but has had a power increase to 293 horsepower. Expect the Azera to arrive sometime 2012... perhaps even early in 2012 given HARI's speed in terms of bringing new models here.
