Lotus Elise celebrates 20 years
Lotus is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Elise by revealing a special edition vehicle. The said model made its debut during the 1995 Frankfurt Motor Show and after two decades the special edition vehicle replaces the Elise S Club Racer.
The 20th anniversary special edition vehicle weighs 914 kg which is 10 kg lighter than the Elise S. This weight reduction is made possible through the lighter forged allow wheels, center console and leather sports seats.
According to Lotus, the Elise 20th anniversary special edition is available in four colors which are: blue, green, yellow and silver. It also gets a matte black rear diffuser, wing mirrors, roll hoop and special badging.
The vehicle is powered by a 1.8-liter supercharged gasoline engine that delivers 220 PS at 6800 rpm and 250 Nm of torque at 4600 rpm. Lotus claims that the Elise 20th anniversary special edition can go from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds with a top speed of 237 km/h.
