Lotus is inching closer to the official launch of first-ever electric hypercar, the Evija. Claimed to produce 2,000 PS along with 1,700 Nm of torque, it is set to rewrite the high-performance rule books, as well as set a new bar in electric hypercars.
But before it makes its public debut, Lotus is giving its lucky customers the ability to personalize their Evija. Thanks to a state-of-the-art touchscreen configurator, those that have already ordered an Evija will be able to pre-select their preferred exterior color, desired interior trim, as well as the other available amenities before it is delivered to them.
Developed using advanced gaming software, Lotus claims that that the configurator's high-tech graphics processor renders 'photo-realistic' images and animations of the Evija. This will allow the user to see the car from every angle, inside and out, in high-definition. They can also set the Evija in various backgrounds/settings to see just how it looks in (simulated) real-world settings.
To show it off to customers (and the public), Lotus released several images of the Evija finished in Atomic Red with Carbon Black accent pack. It is then accompanied by a new animation in which the car will be shown painted in Solaris Yellow and Carbon Black.

Production of the Lotus Evija is set to begin in late 2020, with the first year's allocation already designated to customers around the world. Only 130 examples will be built and each one will retail for about PHP 106.6 million.
