Renewing your driver's license will soon be faster and easier according to the Land Transportation Office (LTO) after they recently inked a partnership with Robinsons Malls that will launch the Driver's License Renewal Offices (DLROs) at select shopping malls.
Described by the LTO as a 'new service improvement program', the new DLROs will have improved services and will utilize modern programs.
“We congratulate the LTO for its initiative to bring its services closer to the people and to make license renewal more convenient for them. With various reform and modernization programs being implemented, we can look forward to much-improved services at the LTO,” said Department of Transportation and Communications Secretary Jun Abaya.
Robinsons Malls will provide office space for DLROs at 24 of its malls across the country for a period of 10 years. This means that the LTO will be able deal directly with mall management in opening the DLROs.
However, 9 out of the 24 malls are still LTO Satellite Offices which are managed by private contractors. The LTO did not specify which ones are still under the old system.
