Mahindra has revealed the official design sketches of its upcoming SUV named TUV300.

According to the Indian automaker, the TUV300 has been developed in-house by the Mahindra design team at the company's Research Valley in Chennai, India. In case you're wondering the TUV stands for 'Tough Utility Vechicle' while the '300' represents the series name.

Mahindra says the exterior of the TUV300 is inspired by a battle tank. It is fitted with sweptback headlights, an aggressive bumper and a large grill. It also has a massive hood, square wheel arches and vented fenders.

In addition, the TUV300 appears to have short overhangs, roof rails and an exposed spare wheel.

The vehicle is powered by the company's advanced mHawk engine, but Mahindra has yet to release the power output rating of the TUV300.
