Live your Mario Kart dreams at EKartRaceway
If you plan to do some go-karting, there will soon be more places to choose from.
Aside from CityKart in Makati and Pampanga, a new karting place will be opening on the 3rd floor of SM City North EDSA in Quezon City. It's called EkartRaceway, and it will be a new indoor go-karting center in the Philippines. That means you'll be protected from the weather and other elements.
What's unique about the upcoming EKartRaceway at SM North EDSA is that the karts will be electric, supposedly the first of its kind in the country. Specifically, customers will use high-tech Blue Shock Race electric karts also used in other countries. While some might prefer the sound of a traditional go-kart, remember this track is located indoors.
The upcoming go-kart track will be 300 meters long and composed of different turning radius, speeds, and elevations. There will also be various safety barriers and accident sensors in place to protect drivers in the event of a crash. Customers will also be able to use a remote POS App platform for registration and reservation to reduce physical contact between staff.
Before you head over to SM North EDSA over the weekend, EKartRaceway is not yet open. The date of its grand opening will be announced at a later date. There are no prices or rates for the kart rental either. If you're interested, you can now contact EKartRaceway to get group discounts and preferential scheduling. The company says slots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Hopefully, we won't have to wait long for the new indoor karting track to open to the public. After experiencing electric go-karts abroad, we definitely can't wait to try it out here. It's also a great way for people to live out their Mario Kart dreams. Just don't go throwing turtle shells at other drivers.
