An approximately 32,000km drive in an AE86, all in the name of love

How far are you willing to go for love?

Some, not that far. But others are willing to cross oceans and even fly more than halfway across the globe just to see, meet, or even marry the love of their life. Mr. Hadri is one fine example of the latter. However, rather than flying from Malaysia to Germany, he will be completing the approximately 32,000 kilometers journey by car, specifically in a Toyota AE86 Corolla.

Now, you’re probably wondering why Mr. Hadri chose to drive to Germany instead of just taking a plane, which would be faster and not to mention a lot more convenient. According to hayashi86.com, Hadri has always been passionate about cars ever since he was young. And one of the reasons he will be doing this journey is to be able to drive at the infamous Nurburgring Nordschleife race track in his AE86 Corolla.

However, the true purpose of his grand tour from Malaysia to Germany is to marry the love of his life. Hadri says that he first met his now fiancé back in 2007 during a trip to Germany. Fast forward a couple of years later, and he proposed to her and got engaged. After a year of planning, getting sponsors, and help from the tourism ministry in Malaysia, he will be driving there as a grand gesture of love.

The drive will not be easy considering it will take him around three months to complete the 32,000 kilometers journey which involves driving through multiple countries. With that in mind, Hadri says that this is why he chose the AE86, for being reliable and durable. Not to mention he will also be having fun in it once he gets to the Nurburgring.
