Executive personnel changes to take effect on June 25
Mazda Motor Corporation has announced today that Masamichi Kogai will be the company’s new chief executive officer. This will take effect at the completion of the 147th General Shareholders' Meeting on June 25, 2013.
Prior to his new appointment, the 58-year old Kogai joined Mazda in 1977 and was best known for his efforts in making the company’s production line more efficient. Aside from Kogai, several other officers were reassigned and promoted to rejuvenate the executive leadership and make way for greater growth for the brand.
Current CEO Takashi Yamanouchi will remain as the company’s representative director and chairman of the board.
