McLaren Automotive recently designated David McIntyre as the Regional Director for the Asia Pacific. McIntyre will report for duty starting February 1, 2015 and will replace Mirko Bordiga who is leaving the company for another role within the industry. He will directly report to Jonathan Nash, Executive Director for Global and Sales Marketing of McLaren Automotive and will be based in the company's Shanghai office.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join McLaren Automotive. It is a company I have watched closely since launching in 2011, and it has made a real impact in the Asia Pacific market, quickly establishing a strong fan- and customer-base across the region. 2015 is shaping up to be a key year with the launch of the much anticipated Sports Series, and I am looking forward to the challenge and joining the McLaren family,” said McIntyre.
Nash on the other hand stated that the Asia Pacific market has become increasingly important as the company continues to grow, along with McLaren Automotive's Asia-exclusive car, the 625C.
“David brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of the luxury automotive markets from around the world, and especially in this region, and will be a real asset for us,” Nash added.
McIntyre, 42, has been in the automotive luxury business for 19 years and has worked in the Asia Pacific region for last 9 years.
