McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has confirmed production plans for the 650S after a positive reaction to the MSO 650S Coupe concept shown in China earlier this year.
The automaker says, they will only produce 50 units of the MSO 650S, which will be available as a Coupe or Spider.
In line with this, the production car will make its global debut in Spider form at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed in the Supercar Paddock. It will also be seen in action taking part in the famous Hill run.
The MSO 650S incorporates many of the styling cues over from the original concept. The British automaker says the team at MSO has worked closely with McLaren Automotive Design Director, Frank Stephenson, to further enhance the vehicle.
The exterior of the MSO 650S is infused with a number of carbon fiber upgrades with a satin finish that includes the extended MSO side blades.
The vehicle also has a three-piece rear bumper along with a carbon fiber center section and an aggressive rear diffuser. Adding finishing touches to its exterior is the 10-spoke super lightweight alloy wheels.
Inside, the MSO 650S is upholstered with carbon black leather and Alcantara. A gloss finish has been applied to the air vents and powertrain switchgear on the active dynamics panel.
The MSO 650S Coupe is priced at £252,500 (around PHP 18.8 million)while the Spider is at £272,500 (around PHP 20.3 million).
