McLaren Super Series owners can now redesign their cars with a range of McLaren Special Operations (MSO) Defined accessories.
“The growing MSO Defined portfolio gives customers an opportunity to further personalise their cars and significantly expands our wider accessories portfolio. We have experienced significant interest in the MSO Defined range on Super Series cars being ordered new and we are now very pleased to be bringing these features to a wider group of customers as a retrofit choice,” said Carl Whipp, aftersales director at McLaren Automotive.
The company claims that the accessories improve the car's design and in true McLaren fashion. With its lesser weight, it also improved in performance.
Among the exterior components in the MSO Defined Super Series collection are a carbon fiber rear diffuser, which reduces weight and improves airflow as well as carbon fiber mirror arms, which can be matched with some mirror casings.
Inspired by the McLaren M8D, the range also gets a carbon fiber louvered front Ffnders saving at least 0.5 kg over the standard equivalent. Also equipped with vented wheel arch liners for more grip over the front axle.
Additional feature is a carbon fiber bonnet finished in visual carbon fiber for increased impact, as previously seen on the limited-edition McLaren 650S Can-Am model.
Meanwhile, interior improvements begin with the MSO Defined Carbon Fiber Vent Bezels. It also offers a carbon fiber sill tops which highlight the driver-focused design of the cabin and protect the sills of the MonoCell structure.
Other features include a carbon fiber steering wheel which is available in leather or Alcantara as well as an extended carbon Fiber gear shift paddles.
Options for the McLaren Super Series models from 12C to the 675LT are now available at any authorized McLaren retailers.
