Unnamed McLaren Ultimate Series hypercar to debut on December 10
A new vehicle will soon be added to McLaren's Ultimate Series lineup of vehicles this coming December 10. Said to be the successor to the P1 hypercar, the still unnamed hypercar will first be making an online premiere this December before having a public debut at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show.
Codenamed P15, McLaren says it will be the 'most extreme road-legal McLaren ever'. It will be the third of 15 new models or derivatives set to be released by the British marques by the end of 2022 under the McLaren Track22 business plan.
Details regarding the unnamed hypercar are still scarce at the moment, apart from it being heavily track-oriented. It is however expected to use a retuned version of the McLaren's 3.8-liter biturbo V8 which could pack around 800 PS. Expect the unnamed Ultimate Series hypercar to have a low weight combined with a sleek aerodynamic design.
The yet-to-be-named hypercar will also be revealed ahead of the BP23, which McLaren aims to be as the first 'Hyper-GT'. The BP23 is said to take some design cues from the McLaren F1, including the three seater layout with a central driving position. Production for the BP23 will be limited to 106 units, with deliveries expected to begin in 2019.
As with previous McLaren hypercars, all units both the BP23 and the unnamed hypercar are said to have already been accounted for.
