Here's your first look at the cars that will star in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
It's been a while since we've heard or visited about the Transformers cinematic world. The last movie came out in 2018 with Bumblebee, which was set in the 1980s. But don't worry; a new Transformer movie will be released next year, and it's officially titled Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
At the moment, there are still very few details about the 2022 Transformers movie. Reports did say it will supposedly be inspired by the original Transformers Beast Wars cartoon series. To make things exciting, Director Steven Caple Jr. has shared the first images of the new cars in the movie.
Based on the two photos, these vehicles are the Autobots and presumably the Terrorcons. The first photo showcases the Autobots. There's a yellow Camaro with an interesting off-road setup, which is unmistakably Bumblebee. Meanwhile, the blue/red International truck head is Optimus Prime (or possibly Optimus Primal).
According to reports, the silver Porsche 911 with blue stripes will supposedly be Mirage. In the original cartoons, however, Mirage was a Formula car, and it was Jazz who is a Porsche. Rounding up the Autobot team is a Ducati motorbike (supposedly Arcee) and a classic Volkswagen Kombi who is unknown at the moment.
The Terrorcons consists of three vehicles so far: an orange GMC tow truck, a tractor head, and an R33 Nissan Skyline GT-R. Supposedly, the GT-R will be Nightbird while the truck head is Scourge. For the time being, we still don't know who that tow truck will be.
Expect to see more vehicles in the movie, both Autobots and Terrorcons, aside from the ones shown here. These vehicles are currently located on set in Cuzco, Peru, where filming is ongoing.
Hopefully, we'll see a trailer of the new Transformers: Rise of the Beast soon. A trailer will give us to have a better idea of the movie's plot and storyline. It will also show which Transformers will be in the movie. One thing is for certain, though, we're excited.
