Trident Sports Cars has globally debuted the Iceni, a convertible sports car powered by a 6.6-liter, turbodiesel V8 engine producing 395 PS and 949 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic.

The company said in a press release that the Iceni can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of over 305 km/h.

The company also said the car has a combined-cycle fuel consumption figure of over 24 km/l, allowing for a total range of up to 3,220 km on a single tank of either regular diesel or 100 percent bio-diesel.

For added performance and handling, Trident offers a ‘Performance Pack’ that boosts the engine to 430 PS and 1,288 Nm of torque and a ‘Track Pack’ that gives the engine 660 PS and 1,424 Nm of torque.

The Iceni has a very sleek and curvaceous body. Up front, there is a power bulge on the hood that leads to a small front grille, complemented by the large headlights on either side.

Along the side, the car features lines from classic British sports cars, such as the Jaguar E-Type, particularly the upswept rear fenders that wrap around the wide rear tires.

The back looks like a lower Jaguar F-Type, accentuated by the intricate tail lights and the lower bumper assembly carrying the rear fog light.

The Iceni’s interior is trimmed in leather and Alcantara. The center console, which can be upgraded to have carbon-fiber trim, has stainless steel switches and carries the touchscreen radio.

Prices start at £96,000 (or about Php 7.19 million) for the base Iceni convertible. Trident also offers the Iceni Magna fastback and the Iceni Venturer estate.
