Mercedes-Benz Philippines has just launched the next generation 2015 C-Class at an event at the Peninsula Manila Hotel in Makati City.
The 2015 C-Class has significantly grown with an 80 mm increase in the wheelbase (2840 mm) compared to the previous model. Moreover, the vehicle has a length of 4686 mm (+95 mm) and a width of 1810 mm (+40 mm). With this, the interior space of the 2015 C-Class becomes more spacious.
Mercedes-Benz says the body of the 2015 C-Class is made from aluminum which allowing lightweight construction, outstanding rigidity and excellent handling. The vehicle is also designed with advanced aerodynamics to reduce its drag.
The exterior styling of the 2015 C-Class is infused with precise lines. The front is fitted with muscular bumper and LED headlamps. The Avantgarde and AMG variants will come with the sporty grill with a central star, while the classic radiator grille with the Mercedes-Benz emblem on the hood will come with the Exclusive line slated for 2015. Viewed from the side, the 2015 C-Class has short overhangs and well-balanced proportions. The rear of the vehicle has a sloping roof line and LED taillights.
Revealed at the launch was the C200 AMG, which features seven distinct features over the upcoming C200 Avantgarde. These are: Burmester premium audio system, reversing camera, seat memory function, electronic rear sunshade, ambient interior lighting, and 60/40 split through-loading rear seats.
Inside, the 2015 C-Class features a centrally positioned Audio 20 system highlighted by a 7-inch free-standing center display. The interior is adorned with five round air vents, wood trims and 'ARTICO' man-made leather upholstery. The 2015 C-Class also has features a heads-up display that provides important information such as speed and navigation in the driver’s field of vision. A keyless go allows access to the vehicle without the need to pull out your keys and starts the car at the press of a button.
A C250 AMG trim adds the a more powerful engine, COMAND Online option that increases the 7-inch screen to 8.4-inches, intelligent LED headlights, and handsfree access integrated to the standard keyless-go system which allows you to open the trunk by just a foot gesture.
Under the hood is a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 engine. The C200 trims are rated at 184 PS and 300 Nm, while the C250 is rated at 211 PS and 350 Nm.
The C200 Avantgarde is priced at Php3,550,000; C200 AMG at PhP3,880,000; and C250 AMG at PhP3,980,000.
