Auto Nation Group Inc., the exclusive distributor of Mercedes-Benz in the Philippines, is set to bring the Mercedes-Maybach S600 this year according to Mr. Bobby Shaw, Mercedes-Benz Philippines VP for Marketing and Sales.

Mercedes-Benz fans would know that Maybach was the company's ultra-luxury brand past, though it was discontinued some years back due to low sales. Last year Mercedes-Benz announced that the Maybach brand would be revived as the top-of-the-line variant of the S Class, otherwise known as the Mercedes-Maybach S 600.

Interior of the Mercedes-Maybach

First previewed during the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 measures 5453mm long with a wheelbase of 3365mm. Overall, the vehicle is 207mm longer than the S-Class and the additional space is used to enhance comfort for rear passengers. The vehicle is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 twin-turbo that delivers 537 PS and 830 Nm of torque.

Rear of the Mercedes-Maybach

According to Mr. Bobby Shaw, the pricing of the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 will start at around PhP 13.5 million, though expect that price to go up and up as Mercedes-Benz Philippines will be offering the full range of custom options for Mercedes-Maybach customers.

We asked Mr. Shaw if there are already customers for the Mercedes-Maybach S 600, quite a few of which have already made their deposits for the new car.
