As the year comes to a close, manufacturers are rushing to launch their new and updated models. One of them is Mercedes-Benz, and they've just launched not just one but two new models to their range. These are the 2020 GLC and V-Class.

When we say new, we mean is updated inside and out. After all, these models did get upgrades in their home market earlier this year.

For the 2020 model year, the GLC gets a new set of bumpers, along with a new grill and LED daytime running light signatures at the front. Also new are the tail lights with more LED elements, bringing it bang up to date. There's more chrome trimmings present on its exterior too, adding a bit of zing and presence on the crossover itself.

Inside, the center stack has been given a bit of a revamp. The design is largely similar to the current model but there's a new COMAND touchpad in the mix. Also, the steering wheel design has been tweaked with new spokes, along with a thicker rim. Last but not least, the infotainment system has been overhauled, now with the new MBUX system in place. Added to the 2020 edition include a fully digital and customizable instrument cluster plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

What we get is the GLC 200 variant meaning it comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine and rear wheel drive. It makes 197 PS, along with 320 Nm of torque. It then shifts via a nine-speed automatic transmission, which should help with fuel economy.

As for the V-Class, what we get is the V220 d. Much like the model we reviewed a few years back, it is powered by a 2.1-liter turbodiesel engine making 163 PS and 380 Nm of torque. Transmission is also the same as it still uses the 7G-Tronic automatic from before.

But what is different are the front and rear bumpers, grill, headlight and tail light elements, and the wheels. Inside, the dashboard has been updated and now sports revised air vents coupled with new trim pieces. Thankfully, the folding table is still standard on the V220 d, and so is the parcel shelf for the rear cargo area.

Prices for the 2020 GLC 200 and V 220 d are as follows:

GLC 200: Php 4,290,000

V220 d: Php 4,690,000
