Last Tuesday, Mercedes-Benz released a teaser of the new multibeam LED headlamps to be used for the first time in the 2015 CLS-Class.
Now, the Geman automaker officially unveiled the updated 2015 CLS-Class with a honed front section and upgraded interior.
Mercedes-Benz says the design of the 2015 CLS-Class is infused with exciting proportions that “has been subtly adapted to high-tech aspirations.”
The vehicles maintain its long bonnet, narrow window line and sloping roof. New to the 2015 are the diamond radiator grill, striking front bumper with large air intakes, multibeam LED headlamps and darkened taillights with multi-level function.
The automaker says the interior of the 2015 CLS has ample space incorporated with sporty elegance and high-quality materials. The central control panel located at the center console has four instead of the previous two buttons. The 2015 CLS also has a three-spoke sports steering wheel and an 8-inch screen.
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class has a wide range of engines. The CLS 220 BlueTEC is powered by a 2.1-liter 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine that delivers 170 PS with 400 Nm of torque. The same engine powers the CLS 250 BlueTEC that generates 204 PS with 500 Nm of torque. A 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine produces 258 PS with 620 Nm of torque is offered in the CLS 350 BlueTEC.
The CLS 400 comes with a 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo engine that generates 338 PS with 480 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the CLS 500 delivers 414 PS with 600 Nm of torque. The AMG-powered CLS and CLS Shooting Brake is equipped with a 5.5-liter V8 twin-turbo engine that generates 565 PS with 720 Nm and 730 PS with 800 Nm of torque in the S-Model.
