Mercedes-Maybach Pullman receives power upgrade, subtle redesign for 2019
Need something bigger than the recently refreshed Mercedes-Maybach S-Class? Look no further as the luxury marque recently revealed the larger and more opulent Pullman. Also receiving a model year refresh for 2019, the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman gets an updated exterior and interior, as well as a more powerful V12 powerplant.
Beginning with the Pullman's exterior, the luxury sedan now comes with a redesigned front grill. According to the company, the vertical struts on the radiator grill are reminiscent of the stripes seen on a pinstripe suit which gives the Pullman a more sophisticated look. Rounding up the exterior changes are the new 20-inch alloy wheels that come with a ten-hole design and two new exclusive paint hues.
Inside, the Pullman retains the signature 'VIP' cabin design. With an emphasis on delivering utmost comfort for the rear passengers, all four seats are power adjustable and come with a massage and heating / cooling function. Should they fancy having a drink, the Pullman comes with a built-in chiller and complementary flutes. Another new addition introduced in the 2019 Pullman is a front view camera which allows passengers to monitor outside traffic even with the rear partition closed.
Finally, new color schemes for the interior have been made available and come in the following hues: Magma Gray, Mahogany Brown, Silk Beige and Deep Sea Blue.
Under the hood, the twin-turbo V12 powerplant now produces an impressive 630 PS and 1000 Nm of torque. Thanks to this, the Pullman is able to sprint from 0 – 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. The bump in power also allowed Mercedes-Maybach to give the 2019 Pullman the 'S650' badge, ultimately superceeding the previous 'S600' which generated only 530 PS and 830 Nm of torque.
The 2019 Mercedes-Maybach Pullman is now available on order and could soon be available in an armored Guard version.
