At this year’s Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), Morris Garages, or better known as MG, launched the 2019 MG6 sedan alongside the brand’s current model line up of crossovers. In fact, we here at AutoIndustriya have already reviewed the sleek and stylish fastback already, which you can check out here. To sum, it’s a good car, but I digress.
When it comes to design, the MG6's body style makes it distinct from the competition thanks to its unique fastback sedan shape. Up front, there’s a bold and aggressive face combined with a wide stance and defined body lines all around. At the rear, there’s the sleek fastback tailgate with upswept LED taillights. Meanwhile, the red paint finish gives the MG6 a sportier appeal.
Step inside and occupants will be greeted with a modern cabin. In front of the driver is a digital display and on the center is a large touchscreen infotainment system which features Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The interior is lined with leather seats and soft-touch materials. It even has a sunroof.
Under the hood, the MG6 is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine which produces 164 PS and 250 Nm of torque. It is only available with a seven-speed automatic transmission.
The MG6 is offered is available two variants – Alpha and Trophy – the latter being the range topping model.
Price for the 2019 MG6 are as follows:
