For the first time, BYD, which stands for Build Your Dreams, makes its brand debut at the 10th Manila International Auto Show at the World Trade Center in Pasay City on April 3 to 6. The Chinese automaker will be showcasing the BYD L3, BYD F5 Surui, and the BYD S6 at the motor show.
The BYD L3 is the automaker’s 'C' segment sedan that is available in two variants, 1.5 liter GS–i and 1.5 liter GL–i. The BYD L3 1.5 liter GS–i is equipped with L4 16 valve, SOHC, fuel injected, gasoline engine (BYD483QA) with DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission). On the other hand, the BYD L3 1.5 liter GL–i comes with the L4 16 valve, SOHC, fuel injected, gasoline engine (473QE) mated to a five-speed M/T.
The BYD F5 Surui is a 'C' segment passenger car, which is fitted with the company’s world-leading Remote Driving Control technology, TID power assembly (turbo charged + direct injection + dual clutch transmission), intelligent devices, and exquisite workmanship.
The S6 is BYD’s first independently designed SUV. The Chinese automaker says the S6 has a monthly sales of over 15,000 units, earning it the award of China’s 'SUV of the Year' - the highest honor in the China automotive industry in 2012.
