The 2015 Kia Soul will have its Philippine debut at the Manila International Auto Show which opens tomorrow. The Korean automaker says the new Kia Soul will exceed expectations as the vehicle redefine standards of style and performance.

“The Soul already has great emotional appeal so our main focus with the 2015 model was infusing it with improved driving dynamics, developing a higher quality cabin, and adding desirable features to highlight the new Soul’s fresh sophistication,” said Kia Vice President for Overseas Marketing, Soon-Nam Lee.

The vehicle takes its design cues from the Kia Track’ster, a 3-door coupe concept presented at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show. The exterior of the 2015 Kia Soul is designed with a trapezoidal lower air intake that is incorporated  by the vehicle’s fog lights. Kia says the design concept of the new Soul is geared to cut the vehicle’s aerodynamic drag to be able to improve its fuel economy at higher speeds.

The 2015 Kia Soul

Kia says the vehicle has more headroom, shoulder room, and rear legroom due to the larger dimensions of the 2015 Soul. The Korean automaker says the 2015 Kia Soul used first-rate quality materials throughout the vehicle’s interior cabin such as on the instrumental panel, center console, and door panels. Moreover, the interior of the vehicle made use of a circular theme by incorporating it to the instrument cluster, to the gear shift, to the push start button, among others. The 2015 Soul features Kia’s FlexSteer and Motor Driven Power Steering (MDPS) systems that allows different settings for three driving options – Normal, Comfort, and Sport modes.
