The 2015 Ford Everest was unveiled at this year’s Manila International Auto Show. The new SUV marks a new direction for Ford’s popular SUV. "The all new Everest blends smart, strength and style to bring consumers a remarkable and versatile SUV with true off road capability" said Kay Hart, managing director, Ford Philippines. The new Everest promises excellent off road capability as well as dynamic on road dynamics.

The bold front fascia features a clamshell hood and the new grille is shared with the recently updated Ranger. The integrated headlights house projector beams with LED daytime running lights. An aerodynamic kicker flanks the rear window to reduce drag and its rear tailgate is power operated. To round up the rear, LED taillights wrap around the rear with a chrome strip running across the tailgate. Up top, it features a panoramic sunroof and the whole SUV now rides on 20" wheels.

Inside, you are greeted by Ford’s updated Sync 2 system. Sync 2 features an 8 inch touchscreen monitor and has color coded corners for easier navigation. Like its predecessor, the new Everest will still seat seven people with the third row seats now featuring a Power Fold system.

The all new Everest comes with a host of first in class features. These include Terrain Management System, Active Park Assist and Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert. Cross Traffic Alert informs the driver of a vehicle in the blind spot while driving or when backing out of a parking space.

Like the Ranger, the all new Everest will be built in Ford’s Rayong, Thailand plant.
