Popular Ford SUVs gain new variants
Ford continues its strong start to 2016 with the addition of new variants of its best-sellers, the EcoSport and Everest. The EcoSport gains a new, top of the line limited edition model called the Black Edition. The Everest gets a new top-spec two wheel drive model, the Titanium 4x2.
With 8,166 cars sold, the Ford Everest is currently “the top-selling midsize SUV in the country” according to Ford Philippines president, Lance Mosley. To continue strong sales, Ford Philippines has unveiled the Titanium Premium Package for the 2.2 liter, 4x2 models.
The two wheel drive models are now available with the features and amenities which were only available to the four wheel drive, 3.2 liter Titanium Premium Package models. The Everest 2.2 Titanium Premium Package comes with 20-inch wheels, HID projector headlights, power panoramic moon roof, LED daytime running lights and a headlight washers.
Inside, the top-spec 4x2 Everest gets a 230V inverter, power tailgate, power folding third row seats and power adjustable seats for both driver and passenger. Standard safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control, heads-up display warning, lane keeping system, lane departure warning and active park assist. The Everest 2.2 4x2 Titanium Premium Package starts at Php 1,799,000.
The limited-run EcoSport Black Edition gives the strong selling compact crossover sportier overtones. Trims and accessories are all finished in black which includes the wheels, lower grill surround and upper grill bezel. The headlights are also blacked out while the foglight bezels get gloss black trim.
Additional accessories for the EcoSport Black Edition include roof cross bars, rear spoiler, sport pedals and illuminated scuff plates. This being based on the Titanium variant, it gets a push-start button, rear parking sensors and Ford's infotainment system, SYNC 2. Prices for the EcoSport Black Edition starts at Php 998,000
