Chevrolet Philippines will indeed be revealing a new sedan at the 2016 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). Called the Sail, the upcoming model is set to take on other B-segment cars in the market like the Toyota Vios, Nissan Almera and Kia Rio.

Exact details about the car have yet to be provided but the image does show the Sail features the brand's signature dual port grill design. In addition, the upcoming Sail also gets wraparound headlights, circular foglights and a low front lip spoiler. The side gets a distinct character line, slightly flared wheel arches and multi-spoke alloy wheels.

In our first report, we mentioned that what looked to be a camouflaged new-generation Sonic was spotted in Calamba, Laguna. It was only in a more recent finding that we found out that it will be the Sail after new images showed a more detailed look of the upcoming sedan.

Available engines to be offered were not revealed but the China-spec Sail does have two engine choices. First is a 1.3-liter VVT inline-four that puts out 103 PS and a 1.5-liter DVVT inline-four that produces 113 PS. Either of the two engine choices can be mated to a manual or automated-manual tranmission (AMT).

It will be making its official debut at on April 7, 2016 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
