Ford's B-segment crossover gets cosmetic upgrade
Ford will be presenting a special edition of their B-segment crossover at this year’s Manila International Auto Show. Called the EcoSport Black Edition, the crossover gets cosmetic tweaks that provide a more aggressive finish to the high-riding vehicle.
From its namesake, the special edition crossover gets a blacked-out finish on its lower and upper grill, mirror caps, roof rails and new multi-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels.
Information about its interior weren’t revealed but based on other markets; the cabin gets a two-tone theme finished in black and gray. It can apparently be seen on the seats, door cards and dashboard.
Powering the special edition EcoSport will still be the familiar 1.5-liter TiVCT inline-four. It cranks out 110 PS at 6,300 rpm along with a torque rating of 142 Nm at 4,200 rpm. Managing all that power is Ford’s 6-speed PowerShift automatic transmission that drives the front wheels.
More details of the EcoSport Black Edition will be revealed when FGP officially unveils it on April 7, 2016 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
