Jaguar is eyeing to get a slice of the premium compact crossover segment in the country after officially launching the all-new E-Pace at the 2018 Manila International Auto Show. Serving as Jaguar's smallest crossover offering, it is set to go up against the likes of the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.

While most will say it is just a smaller F-Pace, do note that the E-Pace takes inspiration from the flagship F-Type coupe. Starting with the front fascia, the E-Pace gets the same style of headlights and front grill design as the two-door coupe.

It even gets similarly-shaped side air intakes on the front bumper, along with the distinct side vent trim pieces. Additional styling cues from the F-Type can also be found on the taillights, rear quarter window kink and rear bumper design.

Also getting a similar treatment is the E-Pace's cabin. From the flat-bottomed steering wheel, all the way to the distinct center console, the E-Pace packs a sporty and ergonomic layout. Soft-touch materials, as well as heaps of leather, metal trim and gloss black accents blanket the interior of the premium crossover. Also present are the 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and the 10-inch TouchPro infotainment system. Other in-car features present inside the E-Pace include navigation, Bluetooth, AM/FM radio, 6-speaker audio system, voice control, two-zone climate control, Jaguar drive control, cruise control and eco driving style assistant.

Available extras, on the other hand, are the perpendicular parking assist system, R-Dynamic tread plates, reverse traffic detection, perforated sport leather upholstery, LED headlights, 10-way power adjustable driver's seat and 18-inch Sparkle Silver alloy wheels.

The driving force of the 2018 E-Pace is a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel that puts out 150 PS. A nine-speed automatic transmission comes as standard on the 2018 E-Pace that drives the front wheels.

Perhaps the most interesting bit about the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace is that pricing starts at PhP 4.190 million, undercutting many of its direct competitors from German brands.
