Michelin launches Fill Up with Air safety campaign


To foster better and safer mobility

Michelin has launched the 'Fill Up with Air' (FUWA) safety campaign last November 21, 2014 at S&R Alabang open parking lot along Alabang-Zapote road in Muntinlupa.

Part of the company's road safety advocacy, Michelin invited S&R members to have their vehicles' tire pressure checked and adjusted for free. Michelin also provided tire safety advices to the participants as well as an assessment of the tires' condition. Wit this, the participants got an intesive checkup of their tires and gain more information about road safety.

Michelin says the FUWA safety campaign aims to raise awareness among Filipino motorists on the importance of following the recommended tire pressure. Through the FUWA safety campaign, Michelin intends to educate motorists that practicing the maintenance of correct tire pressure has a direct impact on the overall performance of the vehicle.


“It is the aim of Michelin to foster better and safer mobility. Through safety campaigns and educational activities such as Fill Up With Air, Michelin hopes people will increasingly pay attention on how important the care and selection of tires is to ensure the safety of themselves and families on the road,” said Michael Nunag, Country Director, Michelin Philippines.

The FUWA safety campaign has been conducted by Michelin throughout the world in over 16 European countries with more than 100,000 vehicles inspected from 2002 to 2012.
